I've read a lot of reviews on the 9-3 Aero V6 and the 0-60 times run in a a big range from around 6 seconds to 7.4 (auto).
I wonder if they know how to shift a turbo Saab for the quickest time...Seems to me when you have a fat torque curve and the max HP at a lower RPM then going all the way to red-line doesn't make sense. Seems to me (by logic not empirical evidence) that negative returns happen if your go to the 6,500 RPM red-line.
In fact, I wonder if Saab programs the auto trannys right... Seems to do what I pointed out above especially in the sport mode.
Anyone time this?????????????
Even a garden variety Honda Accord V6 is better... Then again they weight a lot less but their tporque curves are slanted to high RPM's that the testors may assume is the right spot to shift.
