If Saab offered a 2009 900 based on a 1981 900, I'd almost get it.
The 900 came with 8V, but they changed it to a better 16V a few years later. I had stalling problems with the older car but it was fixed and the later 900's that I had didn't have this.
If the classic 900 were built today, I might get it if it were improved slightly. Shortcomings include (aside from the classic sagging headliner and cracked dash) just 128 hp, just a driver's airbag and no side airbag, and ABS brakes only in the later models. The wind down windows, no key fob, AC not ACC, fog light covers, manually controlled mirrors are all fine with me.
On the other hand, the seats were better than the 9-3, no peeling buttons, had a hatchback, more brake lights in back, lockable glove compartment (simple key), and side moldings.
