That's always been an argument in the debate, that there is indeed something wrong with the car, a defect, but none is ever conclusively found or proven.

You can rewind these same arguments to 1986 and the Audi 5000, deja vu all over again. Car suddenly accelerates, brakes don't work, but afterward brakes and everything working fine.

So for over 23 years folks have been alleging some kind of electronic or mechanical gremlin that suddenly caused the car to accelerate, but to my knowledge none has ever been proven for Audi, Lexus or any other car being investigated for the same thing.

Dunno' why the gremlin theory folks can't acknowledge the pedal mis-application explanation? It seems so obvious to me and like I said, I don't believe in gremlins. The gremlin folks kinda' remind me of the all the conspiracy folks, 9/11, Kennedy assassination, you name it, that allege something sinister and unprovable just because they can't somehow except the simple logical explanation.
