Whenever you want to turn off the car you hold it down for 3-4 seconds? Or does it instantly turn off when in Park? If it's the latter, it seems like the emergency shut-off procedure should be in LARGE print right above the button.
It's vital to be able to turn off your car quickly IMO, for everything from a sudden mechanical problem (a belt breaks for example), to a full on emergency. What a terrible shame those people died because they didn't how to shut the damn thing off when they needed to.
