I can see John's point however I don't completely agree that SAAB will die if exisitng SAAB drivers don't buy a new car in the next few years. SAAB success will come if the comapny can attract new customers. People who have not purchased a SAAB before, new or used. That is where GM failed, not able to market the brand effectively and even know what the brand identity is all about. Sure, if I can afford it, I will love to purchase a new SAAB in a few years, but I don't feel that I am obligated to do so. I keep my cars for 10 years usually, regardeless of brand. I have bought used and new over the years depending on my perceived value of the purchase at the time.

I will market the brand by my personal testament of driving safe, reliable SAAB cars and will recommend the brand to anyone who is interested. And yes, if I can afford it, I will buy new. However, I won't feel bad if I have to buy a used NG9-5.
