Mine have very little brake dust and what is there does not form the little black specs that is difficult to remove. They do make for clean wheels. I'll give them that.
Like I said I have the SAAB Akebono on the front. Some have reported that the SAAB Akebono is different from the Euro Ceramics. Maybe that makes the difference for the front. Can't explain the difference for the rear.
I also do not like the soft brake pedal feel with the Akebono pads. BMW friends said that ceramics need 500 miles or so to "cure". I changed the pads front and rear with new rotors. After the first drive the brake pedal felt spongy so I bled the brakes. No change. Then flushed the brake fluid. No change. The car had 30,000 miles on it at the time. It now has just about 40,000 miles and the rotors are very smooth with no ridges to suggest wear and the pads show very little wear. Sounds like the ideal! If they don't stop the car effectively there off!
