I could well have been, Bill. Do you mean braking too much, too hard and too late, staying on them too long or ?? I tend to brake mostly in a straight line and usually don't do much trail-braking.
My instructor didn't seem to think I was, though, with the exception of one downhill left-hander where going off the track would be decidedly unfun (and where I know I overbraked, and braked early), I seemed to do OK. But the brakes do get a tad toasty.
My pal in his M3 has far more track time than I (he's almost instructor and had the same issues. The course at NHMS is fairly technical and requires some substantial braking at a few points. Still, I'll see what happens next time out and keep what you say in mind.
At NHMS the run groups tend to be fairly fast and we'd be out for 20-25 minutes at a time. 1.6 miles and 11 turns.
Any input you may have is welcome. Thanks!
