No, I mean that your instinct as a new driver on the track is to brake too EARLY and for too long, which is a natural self-preservation reaction. Subsequent days I braked later (and maybe a bit harder) after I was more comfortable knowing that my car would slow down sufficiently and I wouldn't miss the turn and wind up in the pile of old tires on the outside of the corner - also more comfortable sliding sideways around some corners without the fear of spinning out, a feeling like skiing. Illinois is fairly flat, so we don't have a lot of downhill corners, but I imagine that the same laws of physics apply - LOL.
