I can certainly agree that there have been some "grades inflation" for restaurant servers in the past few years of boom. We shall see how the market place adjusts.
I tip my mailman because I send and receive parcels more often than the typical households. Down here, we can print our own "stamp" labels and leave priority mail boxes at the sender's house door for the mailmen/women to pick up. The shipping cost is actually lower than "counter" price at the post office.
