It is a mystery why the state with the third highest tax burden on its residents has such a struggle to keep its major highways clear of snow. To say nothing of the potholes. I'm wondering what our new gov means by "shared sacrifice." OTOH, my snowplow guy came by to clear the snow dam from the end of my driveway that had been built there by the town's snowplow guys. While moving the Saabs into the street, I couldn't help but notice that low-slung 10-year-old Saabs maneuver better in snow from a standing start than a 4wd Dodge Ram pickup. I could stop the Saabs in the middle of a snowy hill, and could easily go upstream under control and with little spin. The truck had to keep backing until it could get traction on a dry spot. (Granted the truck had the plow on front)
