In a lot of cases it's more than 100%. For a while I was getting wholesale pricing from a dealer. The wholesale prices were, almost always, much less than half the retail price. They certainly weren't selling to me at a loss, and in fact must still have been making a healthy profit. I would say 200% is more likely. Jewelry stores, on the other had, that's more like a million percent, assuming there's a diamond involved.
