Mike, I hope my commentary didn't offend you... obviously we are all free to choose whatever vehicles we like! I hope it works out well for you! Cars like the Veloster + Genesis coupe are interesting + quite "almost-saaby"...
I do find it interesting to hear what others do... in your case, going from (if I understand it correctly) an og9-3 to a Veloster kind of makes sense (like many who jumped ship to Subie years ago). GM left you without a proper hatchback (9-3sc has the utility, but not the shape)... many of the others that recently made the switch to the Koreans went from sedan to sedan (eg 9-5 to optima) + I wonder if GM's efforts to pit Saab vs the Germans is partly responsible for that... some of those folks came back and ranted about how much more reliable their brand new car is than their previous (often under-maintained) 10 year old Saab was... it's unfair to compare any new car vs any old car because only time will tell... that's probably part of what triggers the negative commentary...
anyway, my commentary here is generally meant to reinforce what I see as good in Saab at a tough time for the company... you also seem to also get what's good about saabs... enjoy the veloster + hopefully there will be a new saab hatch on the market in a few years when your lease is up!
James...
