Granted the DIC in the B235 was used to monitor knock along with spark where GM Ecotec kept them separated in knock sensor and separate coil on sparkplugs. Gone are the low tension ring lands that was supposed to help with fuel economy as my Verano 6MT see similar 44 mpg as does the Saab 9-5 5-speed manual but with heavier 18", 235mm rubber.
GM has already done excellent cylinder head designs like those used in the Corvette. Gone from the Ecotec are the oil leak as my 2.4l in the Sky is 8 years old does not leak or use any oil. It was designed for 170+ hp but has pushing 350hp/400trq with an old Aero TD04 styloe
