I agree with you on the portability. I'm not a graphics guy, I'm a lawyer and for many years I've taken laptops to hearings and arguments where I use it to look at large PDF document files. I've used 15 and even 17" screens, and I much prefer the Dell 13" to those boat anchors. It has a great screen and is super functional for looking at documents. It is small and light enough that I can throw it in a backpack or portfolio or briefcase and not even think about it. No way I would go back to a bigger laptop.
Kids today, other than gamers or those needing big graphics, probably think a 13" is a boat anchor and would be happy with a tablet or cellphone form factor. :)
