I just picked up a 2012 Cadillac SRX for the wife a couple months ago and it's amazing how similar it is to the 9-4x. We test drove a 9-4x when they first came out and liked it but I didn't want to get involved with with Saab in financial trouble.
They changed the 3.0/2.8t engine to 3.6L in 2012 and it now has 300 hp on regular gas. The interior is nice and the Performance model handles great with the electronic suspension. We thought about a 2013 but it's the first year they went to the CUE system that's completely touch screen controlled. CUE didn't seem fast enough to me and many of the reviews complained about bugs in the software.
As for my 2006 9-5, it's staying put for at least a few more years unless I can find a later year 9-5, NG, or else move to a 9-3 sportcombi!
