Are you in the market for a porsche? I think they are good cars but only make sense to maintain at an elevated price point. Newer ones seem excessively complicated. Driving a depreciated Cayenne does not seem to be an economic form of transportation.
We had a 2008 V8 xc90. Issues in 2.5 years of ownership:
ignition coils
engine mounts
control arms
angle gear
transmission
cabin fan motor
starter
power steering motor
The highlander has really grown on me. Its clearly neither european nor luxury. There are parts of the interior that were developed to a predetermined price point. But the engineering on it is something to marvel at. Everything works right and build quality is exceptional.
