We drove the new XC90 when it first came out. It was the T5 with the 250 horse 2.0. We took it for a long test drive (one hour plus--we were pretty serious about it). Based on photos the interior looked pretty plush but it had a lot hard plastic--a bit of a disappointment. I like turbo 4 cylinder engines but I don't believe a 4000 pound ute it a good application, at times you could feel and hear it struggling. It was very roomy and had a lot of clever features. Almost everything was done using the large touch screen. But what surprised me the most was on the 45 minute drive back home in our Jeep. When we were almost home we both concluded that the Jeep is every bit as quiet and comfortable, and it has effortless power. I honestly didn't expect that, we wanted to like the Volvo.
