How about Mario Molina, Nobel Prizewinner from the US?

Mario who, with some lab-mates, tweaked the whole world to CFC's and shut 'em down said:

"......there is virtually no remaining doubt that humans are responsible for the greenhouse effect and its potentially severe consequences for the earth's atmosphere."

"Only five years ago," he said, "the scientific evidence only cautiously suggested human negative influences on global climate, but the case is much stronger today. Temperatures have increased by 1.8 degrees Celsius over the past century."

"Changes during the first half of the century," he said, "can be explained by natural causes. Over the past two decades, however, the build-up of greenhouse gases, notably carbon dioxide but also other sources such as ozone, is clearly the cause. Molina further noted that while previous reports suggested temperature rises of 1.5 to 3 degrees Celsius for the 21st century, current estimates now suggest rises of between 1.5 and 6 degrees Celsius, with sea levels increasing by as much as a full metre."


I think I know who I'll believe. I think GM knows who it believes. And I don't think you want to get into a contest between science and ideology because science will flog ideology every single time.
