We can achieve the same reductions in CO2
by CAPING max fuel burn for cars. Euro countries
will not do that cause they live from these fuel
taxes. (Gaz guzzler tax, no such thing in Europe)

Sure I favor CO2 reduction, but not by the means
of higher fuel taxes which will only be missused
for reducing EU Gov. budget deficits coming from
to much social spendings.

As to reduced fuel consumption of Euro cars...
That's all BS, cause only newer Diesel Euro cars
burn less fuel. All the newer gas powered cars burn
more. For a simple reason, people buy more and more
powerfull cars in Europe. Only when you measure them
using the normilzed fuel consumption procedure will
you see a lower fuel burn of gas cars. When you drive
them every day, most burn more fuel!

This is why I am against the Kyoto deal, cause it only
gives EU Gov. a justification to raise taxes. None of them
would have the guts to outlaw the sale of such fuel guzzling
cars as the S600 or BMW760 using primitive large V12 engines.
