One thing many people don't know to look for is the location of top child seat tether mounts. In many wagons (e.g., Subarus) the top tether mount is located at the very rear of the cargo area. This means that when the time comes to mount your child seat in the forward facing position, you will have the top tether belt running all accross the cargo area, cutting down your useful storage space by 1/3 (or even 1/2 if you mount the seat in the middle). SAABs (and possibly others) have the top tethers mounted right behind the rear headrests. This is far more practical because the belt does not intrude into your cargo space. Just an FYI.
When you drive with an infant, you will need a lot of cargo room. Speaking from experience, I recommend you get the car with the most cargo space. You will need every last cubic inch of it. I have a NG900 that has insane amount of cargo space for a midsize car and can barely fit everything I need when traveling with my daughter.
