... you've been getting parts, but, you've been screwed, sorry to say. As I mentioned, my Passat was superb. I've had many others that were at least equal. Same with the Audis, from 4 cyl, to V8s. Maybe I'm getting very lucky (and should start playing Lotto), or maybe the people who were working on the cars you came in contact with were not doing their job properly. I've never had any major problems with any of my VW or Audi products. And the minor ones have been pretty few and far between.
To each their own... I'm just relating my 20+ years very satisfied German car ownership.
