I'm a former member of this site-last car was a '97 SETC.Later I bought an '06 Golf.Technically a Rabbit, but I'm a 45 y/o male.Golf is a bad enough name.I've had no problems save one headlight recall. The engine is generous for it's size;no turbo but perky.Don't feel like I gave up much save a ragtop for a sunroof.Mileage is slightly better than claimed. It feels as solid as the Saab and infinitely cheaper to run.Indeed;I was domino theoried/rearended by a full sized 'Murrcun sedan followed by a midsize Nissan truck.I'd estimate it was at 40 mph. Both were totalled,my glass wasn't even shattered.
