GM actually provides free meals for all their auto workers in Mexico because of fear the workers will faint on the job due to hunger and fall into the machinery. I wish I was kidding but I was told this two years ago by a GM Engineering Manager recently repatriated from Mexico.
GM has (or had) some of their most expensive Cadillac models built in Mexico. If ever a vehicle did not need a labor cost advantage to make money for the company............
