I did not and am not suggesting Chrysler and Saab have similar histories with safety. I am suggesting that no company is immune is mis-steps. I am also suggesting that multiple people on this board have a tendency to take singular or limited examples of issues with all sorts of things and explode them into bizarre anti-consumer, world-ending stories of corporate greed.
By way of example, you are suggesting that a malfunctioning keyless entry system is somehow part of one such conspiracy. Personally, I don't understand how a door lock of any type could be a legitimate threat to human safety, but hey, I'm not an engineer. Maybe the malfunction results in all the doors flying open and the car exploding. I don't honestly know, but you've provided no information on the actual failure. Your attempt to convince me of anything is two articles with absolutely no specifics about *anything*. Just words arranged on a page in a very Fox News-esque sort of "feel threatened" sort of way, allusions to things that might be true, that might affect peoples' safety.
Look, I'll buy that anything and everything has problems, but vague suggestions of what might be coupled with accusations of anti-consumer behavior doesn't work for me. Explain to me how something fails and what the results of that failure might be, don't expect me to draw the same conclusions from documents with few to no facts.
