You don't have to remove the oil filter. You can just add Auto-RX.

This was my point about following Greg's (Eiron's) advice. It's
beyond the scope of someone who's never been under a car (at least
not intentionally)

Adding 12 ounces of Auto-Rx to your oil without removing oil filter
will not cause you problems. If you want, you can do two iterations
of Auto-Rx without removing oil filter. Your engine will be sludge free
after even one iteration with Auto-Rx without changing oil filter.

As for UOA, you're going to have to at least ask a mechanic to scoop up
some old oil for you. But most likely you yourself will have to mail
in the oil sample yourself to places like BlackStone labs (link below)
Once you have mailed the oil sample, the lab will interpret the results
for you.

OR ... in lieu of all that you can simply ask your mechanic to do all
your oil changes with Synthetic oil from now on, and from what I hear
of your oil change interval, you should be fine. We have done virgin
oil analysis on Saab semi-synthetic oil, and we were pretty impressed
with its additive package.

So, even Greg (Eiron) will tell you that you should be fine without Auto-Rx
and without UOA. Auto-Rx and UOA are just what Eiron would do, and what I
have done. But, that's just us. We have a sickness. :-)

Again, none of this stuff is undaunting for someone who's never ventured
under a car intentionally. Us oil nerds like this stuff, and we like
to get our hands dirty.
