Pull the sample with the engine warm. Semi syn is a great oil for the rinse phase. The chemist over at A-Rx has said only to avoid Mobil 1 (or Amsoil) full syns if you're dealing with a *known* sludge or seal leak issue. Semi syns & "fake" syns (like most Castrol Syntec varieties) work great for the rinse. For 2,000 miles, you could even use a dual-rated dino (eg, 15W-40) without any worries, since most of these are designed with turbo engines in mind. It would even give you extra cleaning additives.
