I've only ever owned manual transmission cars. Growing up on a farm with non-syncromesh tractor transmissions to shift (hi-low/4-speed), a syncro 5-speed is a joke. I've had people comment that my shifting is so smooth that they thought they were in an automatic transmission car.
Probably the best thing I've ever done is teach my wife how to drive a stick, and now she is also adamant that our cars must be manual transmission. I've tried the paddle shifters on a loaner 9-5 and was sorely unimpressed.
Please Spyker - keep the stick alive!
