The 04 abs module is apparently hard to fix historically, unlike the older modules that also failed but were repairable. The best bet is to find a good used one, but they are not easy to find. You need one with tcs and you need a tech2 to program it. The swap is easy though as you only swap out the front half of the module.

Valve cover gasket is not too bad to do. Any good mechanic should be able to do it and parts are not expensive. Crank seal leak is common as are a couple others, but most are not hard to fix.
