Two thoughts on the fluid line to slave threads:
1. The thread is identical to the thread of the bleeder screw right next to it. You could disconnect the crossthreaded line, remove the bleeder screw, and, trusting it to be much easier to line up and hold square to the hole, carefully try to get IT to start, in the correct threads, and run it in and out a few times. The flare nut on the line, and the bleeder screw, are steel, the body of slave aluminum, and you wouldn't I think need to worry much if you can but get the bleeder to start off threading right.
2. You can remove the slave from the car and thread the fluid line into it up where you can see what you are doing, then with it attached, there's enough flex in the flex part of the line to install slave with line in place.
Oh, 3., if you really must have a tap of sorts to feel right, and if you have a bleeder screw from another slave cylinder, you can make it into a sort of tap by using a three-cornered file and filing a flute or two into its threads, making channels for any chips and dirt to exit when threading it in.
Or take your bleeder screw with you to a hardware/auto parts store and discover its threading by comparing it with nuts in the bin, then you may spend $8 or so and buy a tap.
What Notnoel is worrying about on your no-crank situation is, if you used the auto-trans flex-plate to crank bolts to install the manual-trans flywheel to the crank, they're too long and stick out the back and hang up on the block, stopping motor from turning. Must use the shorter correct bolts.
