Just have a few tips. When doing the canvas, 4th bow fit is key. Before putting canvas/glass in, be sure and check frame, any straps, etc. Check your measurements.
New back glass goes in first, but take measurements of old glass position in relation to bow.
When attaching canvas, 4th bow positioning is key. Be sure the cut-outs in the canvas are on the bow so the trim piece fits over them. May be tricky as canvas may seem to be almost short when stapling in the back, but it's important for a snug fit. Reuse old trim piece if you can (if original).
When gluing the 1st bow, make sure you don't give the canvas too much slack when it's shut. It should be very taut, maybe requiring a slight struggle to close it the first time.
As to differing instructions, as you begin it will become apparent which set is the one to follow. Usually found aftermarket ones are the best.
Just remembered once top is done, you may have some canvas overhang over the door glass, enough that it may interfere with opening and closing doors with glass fully up. May be able to adjust bows to take most of it out. Be aware of the possibility when attaching canvas. The overhang eventually goes away as top shrinks and stretches over time.
Above all, take your time. Extra set of hands never hurt...
