Status of the job:
I sourced new top "pads", the protective covers for the top mechanism. Finally found proper all ALUMINIUM rivets, and now have the front attached at #1 bow.
I've measure the old OE pads, and am working to properly locate the #4 bow, which apparently is the center of the universe on these top replacements. Marked the original back glass to the bow, marked the CL of the boot deck lid, so I'll start fit checking the back glass piece.
With the new top loops built in to locate #2 and #3, there is a fixed dimension back to where the break in the roofline occurs. I've gathered that this top REALLY will determine where the #4 bow must live. So I've got to truly satisfy that #4 bow location fore-aft and then locate the back edge of the new top pads to staple it into position.
