Bumping my old thread. I'm BACK on the forum!
With an extraordinary COVID delay, I have finally resumed the installation of the top.
I have just finished glueing in the corner window "flaps" and let them dry overnight. Today I'll be pulling the top taunt (with assistance from the Wife) and attack the final frontier.... stapling the rear sections around the back window and the 4th bow ridgeline.
I've got a lot of phone pics.... and will move them into a proper folder to document what I did along this journey (which went into PARK for, oh, 12 months).
I did ultimately find an online copy of the SAAB 900 factory convertible top manual, and it has proven to be quite useful. There also is a nice writeup on the old Townsend Site, that had some slightly different sage advice.... which turned out to be useful.
Hopefully when the dust settles I will have a professional looking new top!
