This depends on the tread depth. Obviously if you were to follow the tire rotation procedure in the manual, you will be forever moving the tires with the slightly more tread (back) to the front. So there you have the short answer.
Where this becomes an issue is if you fail to rotate the tires every 5,000 miles and the difference becomes too great. (haha, like most of us!) This will lead to potential control issues as the front tires will have much more traction than the back. Which they do already due to the engine and the fact that you are making hard stops more than speeding off at the drag strip with a 1,000HP engine.
The first time you go to make a panic stop in the rain while turning in an intersection and the back end pops out, you will see what I mean. Which is actually sort of fun, as long as you are trying to do it! Otherwise, well, possible heart attack...
If you drive hard, the front left/right tires wear unevenly. Expected in a FWD car, I suppose. I have promised myself to not buy directional-treaded tires any more so I can do the full rotation for each tire. With directionals, I would have to get the tires removed from the wheels and swapped L-R to avoid getting two bald tires out of every set. By then, we are only talking 10k (out of 25k) left anyway, so what is the point. Plus, some tire shops are wary of mounting "worn" tires. I am referring to high-performance summer tires, so your mileage may vary.
You don't want to mix tires of different ages, sizes or tread design either, they act differently. Lower the tire pressure 10 pounds on one of your fronts (maybe 25 instead of 35) and drive around town to see what I mean.
Hope all that rambling is somewhat helpful.
