I also noticed a low and wavering idle on the car just before the second drive where the oil light went on. Now, I can't be sure this is the culprit, because the oil light craziness started while I was driving at about 30MPH. I was actually revving the engine a bit in gear, and then letting off the gas, and that action seemed to trigger it. In the driveway. I noticed the oil light going off upon revving.
The whole situation is hard to diagnose with this car, and the known sludge issues, because it seems to me there is no definite on how much you can test or push the engine (even sitting still) without doing further damage, if the problem is in fact sludge and oil starvation. I'm not sure on that, but after literally blowing the engine up once before, and paying a ridiculous amount to rebuild, I want to do all I can to avoid that again. I would sell the car, but I'm sure resale would be poor, even with the rebuild (provided it is all intact), and unfortunately she needs the car to get to work, and things are already getting very bad around here with the saab stuck in the driveway , and down to one vehicle.
