This is a poor argument... Posted by Scott Paterson [Email] (#13) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Scott Paterson) on Mon, 12 May 2003 11:42:23 In Reply to: But that's not Saab's market!, Bruce, Mon, 12 May 2003 08:14:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I don't mean to dis you, but on one hand you say that Saab can't limit themselves to the hatchback market and on the other hand you say that Saab's audience is only X age group. I think you should stick with your orginal point - one that I agree with - that Saab needs to grow the audience to which it appeals. I would've rather seen them add a smaller, more affordable sedan to their 9-5 Sedan and 9-3 Hatchback models. That would've made absolutely perfect sense to me. Instead they replaced the hatchback with a second sedan. Thankfully, they'll expand their potential audience with the 9-2. I agree, almost to the point of understanding the need for Saab SUV, that Saab needs more models to grow their market. Thankfully, the 9-2 is coming before an SUV and by then maybe it will be obvious to everyone that the Hummer (Oh my god, this thing doesn't get good gas mileage?!?! -surprised H2 moron filling out JD Powers survey) thing is a fad.
