This is another great way to go! I used a MountainSmith "Trek" lumbar pack last summer when all I needed to pack was a polo shirt, shorts & lunch. It was much nicer than using a full pack. I'm thinking I'll need to use this along with a transverse seat bag for my regular commute loads, but only the seat bag when I can get away with wearing shorts at work.

Yeah, I know lycra & waxed cotton duck don't mix. But if I follow that rule, then I really can't even use these bags on this bike! Jeez, that means I also gotta swap the bar-end shifters for STI (& drop my bars by 3"), Brooks saddle for a "relieved" plastic shell (& raise it up by 1"), 38/50 chainrings for 39/53, & 12-28 cassette for 11-19! Riding just ain't gonna be fun after that....
