To be honest, I'd never use it for "regular" commuting. I'd have no hesitation using it on my urbanized bike, but I'm not sure about the "stage race"-style road bike. I'm sure there are no real concerns about mating the two, but it just seems wrong somehow.... Y'know, all this discussion is convincing me that I need to get a "real" road bike, instead of some frame builder's idea of riding a racing bike on the road. Don't get me wrong; my Schneider is the most beautiful bike I've ever owned & rides exceptionally well. But it puts me into too much of a fast-forward racing position & handles more agressively than I'd like.
