I feel you, bro.*
I had a similar experience when I bought my '99 9-5.
After some tug of war, they were cool about it.
It started off with us talking for a while about numbers and there were some small negotiations and then they totally froze after giving me the wrong idea! I was pissed because I was a return customer, they had made me believe there would be a better deal (after talking with his manager) and they knew I had a good sized check I was about to sign over to them! And it was over $1K!
At that point I new that I might have some issues with the '99 9-5 and so I snapped and went off on how I would very likely give them that $1K by the end of the year in repair costs at their dealership.
They made me promise to recommed them to others and to go back in the future.
Funny thing; I did go back this past February for my wife's 9-3 SC and they were totally not interested in our business. Long story short, I ended up going to a little place in Acton and got a GREAT deal... no hassle.
I recommend them.
