When the door handle is so much looser than the others that it rattles around when driving, when closing the door, or even in your hand it is certainly defective. It isn't as though they said it rattles but isn't covered. They simply didn't bother to properly look.

The seatbelt frays because of an unsmooth (defective) piece of plastic somewhere in the belt mechanism. It is documented by others on the 9-5 BB. The last dealer told me if it frays after trimming it would be covered and replaced. This dealer said it should be replaced, but that it is out of the safety warranty and chose to ignore the CPO warranty. So no dealers are saying it isn't a defect.

Bumper to bumper is just that. If you have a 4 year laptop warranty and the power supply fails after 3.5 years that is also wear and tear, but covered. Under Saab's terms, only specific wear items such as wiper blades are excluded from CPO. Seatbelts and door handles are covered.

I think Saab and the dealers have unreasonable expectations. Customer pay for the warranty and are entitled to the covered repairs without any delay or aggravation.
