I am on my fourth saab, all acquired new, so all had new car warranties.
There has never been any question about having light bulbs and batteries replaced under the warranty.
The first two were acquired from Studio City Saab (Los Angeles) and there were never any issues regarding warranty coverage. Studio City Saab is out of business.
I took my third Saab to Santa Monica Saab for service, and again, no problems. If I noted a burnt out bulb, they replaced it. Once, they didn't have the correct bulb in stock, so they told me that even though they weren't supposed to do so, they took a bulb out of a new car for sale to put it in mine.
Santa Monica Saab is now out of business, so I took my fourth Saab to Martin (excuse me, Saab of Beverly Hills, ahem) for scheduled service. No problem (except their customer "lounge" reminds me of my high school cafeteria -- without the food fights.)
My sense is that Saab corporate no longer gives a damn about its customers. Nevertheless, if I had a warranty complaint, I'd call them and try to get them to move the dealer for me.
