Steve,
It's been said before, and I'll say it again, right now. Go sell your Saab (since you think it's junk and think that GM dealers are fraudulent) and buy something different. Problem solved.
I've never owned a car under warranty, so I thought that I should not chime in on a warranty issue thread. That being said, my Saab (9000 Aero) is a fine car. It's not perfect, but I don't expect that from a car... no one should. My dad's 9-5 got a new turbo under warranty... and a few other items. He's been adequately pleased with the "local" Saab dealer (more than an hour a way).
You post here with a huge chip on your shoulder, and expect everyone else to agree with you. It's become apparent that we don't. When you tell us you've been banned from a dealership, you tip your hand just a little bit. Surely the dealer was/is out of line, but it ALWAYS takes two to tango; if it didn't, then the dealer wouldn't be in business anymore.
You say that it has nothing to do with giving anyone a hard time... that is subjective, and in my subjective view, patently false. You've given us all a hard time with your badgering.
Are there shady (fraudulent) dealers out there? Sure are! Am I surprised to learn this? Nope.
Realistically, if your car has been in the shop two days every month for four years, you either have totally unrealistic expectations, or you got a complete lemon. Even the worst cars in the world don't go to the doctor that often... unless they're hypochondriacs. My 15 year-old 9000 is out of commission maybe two days per year!
Steve, I wish there was something that could be done to make you happy with your Saab. Until then, don't ask for recommendations or input if you're unwilling listen to them/it. Will you ever be happy?
~Peter
