You can get blue or orange flexible plastic tubing at your big box improvement store for low voltage wiring such as this. Snake a string or wire and pull the tubing into place. The tubing can connect to junction boxes and go right to your rack, etc... Barring that, some plastic electrical conduit is handy too. I have empty conduits going from the up the exterior walls and to empty covered boxes. This way, I can just drop wires down if I want an outlet or special wiring in a wall somewhere.
