No, it is not Saab owners fault. It is GM's fault. When you make the same car for 10 years... like the 9-5...WHY BUY A NEW ONE?? You need to give people a reason to change. Saab is going 10 years with only trim and facia updates.. never gonna get people to buy new like that. You have to make BIG CHANGES every 5-6 years at a maximum. The new 9-5 is about 6 years late. The 9-3 sold REALLY well when it was new. Time for a CLEAN SHEET 9-3...not just a refresh. BMW has a new 5 series next year and a new 3 series 2011, Audi just launched the wonderful new A4, the Merc C class is REALLY NICE.. against this Saab has a refresh 9-3... hmmmm. Nice but only worth 70% of the AUDI and Merc.. maybe if the 4 cyl was 250 HP and the V6 320..then you have something.. sell a BMW 335 competitor at 15% cheaper.... with AWD. Saab needs to offer MORE for LESS as it is a less prestigious brand then BMW/Audi/Merc/Lexus. Infiniti realizes this, as does Hyundai, but not GM??! In time Saab can rival Audi, but not in the short term. It needs better product and regular product updates.
