I was initially looking for a simple portable unit only. But after googling and reading more I am inclined to get an integrated power generator. Having lived in the house for more than 20 years, this sump pump/power failure combination is the only nuisance (actually a minor disaster) which take a significant amount of time to clean up after it happened. And it happened twice over that period. No. we are not looking to power the entire house should a power failure occur again. Just the sump pump and perhaps the refrigerator would be sufficient.
