looks way better imho + lasts just as long or longer. I built one here, treat it periodically with cabot timber oil (very little work) + though it's only a few years old now, it looks brand new.
usually however, material costs for cedar are much higher. If labour cost is the main cost, yeah, the difference might be minimal...
