We have lots and lots of them in Sweden. Big ones, small ones and some even smaller they call a Norwegian style ones due to the small foot print of it and embraced in Norway due to less flat areas, I think, where it is not much of a roundabout but more of a bulge in the intersection.
It seems that they work well but I leave it with one big question mark that others mentioned.
I wonder if they work in really heavy rush hour traffic compared to a red light intersection when the feeder lanes are full and the circle is already full.
I can see it being quite tricky to navigate if the both inner and outer lanes inside the circle are full and you are moving from the inner to the outer depending on where you entered and where you are exiting.
Hardly any place in Sweden have the enormous amount of traffic we have here in LA on a daily basis so I leave some reservation if roundabout is best for all traffic situations.
