I've had a 96' 900 SET (auto) for a couple years and have been loving it. It's been a fantastic learning experience and I feel I've come a long way in DIY repairs, but now I'm looking for another Saab. I have a $10k~ total budget from the wife. This means realistically I have about $8k to spend on both the car, and any performance / suggested upgrades while setting $2k aside for spare parts / needed repairs. I love the NG900 but won't buy a second or a 9-3 based on the fact I'd like to not have two nearly identical cars in my driveway!

My first and only Saab so far is my 96' 900. I have driven a couple Viggen's but finding one is difficult to begin with, let alone one within my budget.

So I have narrowed it down to a late 9000 or C900. I have browsed through the respective forums, but I don't have access to either car to test drive. So I suppose what I'm asking for is: Advantages and Disadvantages of both the late C900 SPG's and the 9000 Aero's. Specifically DIY friendly-ness, handling, ride comfort, power, durability in comparison to the NG900.

I drive mostly hilly, country roads with monthly 500 mile round trips at 70-80MPH most of the way.

I am really not picky as I like the look of both and at this point am just looking for a bit of advice as I'm having a hard time making a decision.

Thanks again folks,

~Jonathan
