TCS can be troublesome when it fails. When the system senses a fault, it goes into Limp Home Mode and the car is barely drivable.
The car won't drive normally until the fault is corrected -- i.e. one can't simply press the button to "turn off" TCS and drive the car normally.
Some TCS components are very expensive. And, when the system is disturbed, it requires recalibration by a Saab dealer (or independent Saab repair specialist) who has a special (expensive!) diagnostic computer-like tool.
TCS removal is not a typical do-it-yourself project.
