A Boeing 777 currently servicing the 25hr each way trip can only have paying customers every other day; i.e. every 48hrs. A SpaceShipX that can make the trip in 2hrs and turn around on the ground in another 2hrs like a Boston-NYC-DC shuttle can make 6 one-way trips every 24hrs, or 12 one-way trips in 48hrs. It only has to carry 25 passengers on each trip to have the same 300 passengers as the 777 every 48hrs per craft making the NYC-Sydney route. Mortgage on the craft is due every month, not per trip.

The engine service load on such a craft would actually be lower than that of the 777 engines. Most of the orbital flight is gliding in space with engine shut off, whereas the 777 engines have to be constantly running during the entire 25hr flight. In fact, the crew may even get an early start on internal checks and maintenance after the craft start gliding, with the ground service consisting primarily of external checks.

Mortgage payment and fuel cost are the two largest bills in running airliners. The potential lower fuel cost of orbital flight (taking off from carrier aircraft at high altitude in thin air instead of wasting rocket fuel on the ground launches in dense air) was already mentioned in previous post.
