The easiest way to at least get a good start is to get the grill as hot as you can and leave it for 20-30 mins. After its cooled down, take the grates off and pull the flavorizer bars out and give them a good brushing(stiff steel brush), empty the tray that sits below the bars and give that a good scrubbing as well, you should be good to go.
The two burner models just don't get as hot for obvious reasons, but still Weber grills are, for the money, very good.
